Conference Attendence to Inform Educators about Reading Program

by Mauro

Over the last couple of months we  have had the privilege to be able to attend some State and National conferences held around the country.  Recently, Jan Hagen, an Account Manager at Reading Horizons, attended the Correctional Education Association 2009 conference that was held in Madison, Wisconsin.  This was a great opportunity for Jan to put faces to some of our long time customers as well as meet with educators and teachers across the country who are currently using Reading Horizons and those that are just hearing about it for the first time. She had this to say, "We have such a big presence in the corrections community, that this makes it a perfect conference for us to attend.  Wisconsin Department of Corrections which uses Reading Horizons with their struggling readers, sent many of their teachers to the conference providing me with an opportunity to speak with them about the use of the program."

Quin Kofford another Account Manager attended the Minnesota Adult Basic Education (ABE) Conference which had a great turnout.  "The conference was well organized and set up in a fashion that allowed everything to be utilized to it's fullest, allowing me to have many good conversations with our current and new customers."

Reading Horizons is dedicated to helping improve literacy across the country and attending conferences provides a way for us to share our passion with educators from coast to coast.  Those that attended who were not previously familiar with what we have to offer, are now aware of the best reading program out there for giving struggling readers of all ages literacy skills that will stick with them for the rest of their lives.
