You Only Read The Days You Eat! - The Importance of Literacy Skills

by Tyson

A very wise and experienced individual once told me that "You only read the days you eat". I got a kick out of what she said and then went about my day. I've reflected on it since that time and have caught the deeper meaning. If you're reading this blog post it probably means that you're fortunate enough to have food to eat everyday. Most of us take that for granted and really don't know what it would be like to go without. If you're reading this post it also means that you been blessed with the most important aspect of learning that you could have recieved in school - the power to read! You and I read everyday, virtually all day, and have no idea what it is truly like for those who haven't been able to learn to read. As a company we are committed to finding the individuals who need to learn effective reading strategies and then to helping them improve their lives. We love teaching reading! Our goal is to find those individuals who need reading intervention and to help them read everyday, helping them become productive citizens and providing them with the means required to eat everyday they read!
