As Heidi Hyte mentioned in a previous post, each of the departments in our company has a mantra or vision to which everyone on the team subscribes to. In the Marketing Department our overall goal is make every educator and struggling reader aware.
Aware of what you may ask? Aware of the power behind Reading Horizons - our company, methodology, products, and success stories. I would love it if in each school curriculum meeting Reading Horizons were one of the top reading intervention products being discussed. We have always said that our great competitor is lack of awareness.
I have the joy of gathering the testimonials that come in, and time and time again I hear teachers say, “This is exactly what I have been looking for! For the last 15 years, I have lacked the skills to help my struggling readers! Why haven’t I heard of you before?” If teachers and educators can at least be aware of Reading Horizons, then I believe the method will speak for itself. Thousands more people would be able to increase their confidence in being exceptional readers. Everything I do is to help more people know about the reading strategies that can help their struggling readers. What a great job! I love being a part of something that I feel is helping improve others lives. I feel like I get a small glimpse into the life of a teacher, making others more aware every day.
