Evaluation

Perrine Elementary in Twin Falls, Idaho was one of the first Idaho schools to adopt the Discover Intensive Phonics for Yourself reading system. Now in their ninth year using the approach, Joan Parrish is one of the many teachers to see the kind of excellent growth shown below. Dozens of schools throughout Idaho now use the Discover Intensive Phonics reading system.

Evaluator's Observations

After four months of implementing the Discover Intensive Phonics for Yourself program, the evaluator saw significant improvement in the reading skills of her students. It was also reported that the students were receiving high scores on their reading tests. There were also significant increases in students' printing skills.
